Today on Feminine Roadmap we are learning how to change our brain to connection mode with Nancy Sokol Green.

Nancy believes we are all wired to live a life mostly in connection mode. Our brain and nervous system may just need a little help remembering that not everything in life is an “attacking tiger”. The beauty of the brain is that it can change in all ways. Nancy encourages listeners to identify old programming and triggers then use key strategies to replace them.

As we begin to form the neural highways that are lacking or weak, we can begin to wire our brains to do things from a higher place in the brain. She shares how missing early childhood development skills can impact our brains and the good news it we can learn them at any time. The process is a partnership between our nervous system and our brains.

Emotions are our nervous systems talking to us so we need to learn to listen and understand. As we become acquainted with our nervous system and work through her process we begin to build a flexible nervous system. A flexible nervous system allows us to switch from protection or survival mode to connection mode.

Connection mode allows us to engage with ourselves and others better. Nancy shares some simple strategies in this episode as well as her invaluable resources. Her advice is to start with curiosity and begin to do things differently in stressful situations. See how many ways you can bring playfulness back into your life, our brains need it.

This episode is a life changer, Nancy’s life work can fundamentally change the quality of your brain and thus your life. Please grab a cuppa something wonderful and join us for this powerful conversation.
