Today on Feminine Roadmap we meet Andrea Garvey who shares how she took a creative leap at 50.
Andrea found herself ready for a new adventure after a long and satisfying corporate retail marketing career. She never imagined that she would leave the job she loved. In this episode she talks about what prompted her to consider leaving a job she loved to step into building her own business. Turning 50 seemed like a great place to begin a new chapter in life so she considered the idea of what that might look like.
She takes us through her journey of following the crumbs, planning her exit and shifting her beliefs about what was possible. Andrea struggled with limiting beliefs like many of us. Am I too old? Who am I to do this? Then she began to research and find women older than her who were successful later in life. When she found there were plenty of women who had walked the path before her, she took courage. Her mindset became: Age is just a number. Get that age limitation our of your head!
