Today on Feminine Roadmap we are talking about happiness aha moments with Peggy Sullivan, founder of the SheCan Network.
During these past couple of years Peggy saw women struggling with all the things happening in the world and wanted to help. As a result, she started her SheCan Network and began this building positive, uplifting community for women. She saw that many women had put happiness on the back burner of their lives and were suffering because of it.
Peggy believes that happiness is a muscle that has to be trained as a habit. By being receptive to the good around us, being present to this moment and the little pleasures in it, can help build that muscle. Her philosophy is that while we tend to think glass half empty or glass half full, we need to shift it to we can refill the glass.
Another key is to actually take the time to figure out what makes you happy and add that into your life regularly. When things come up that threaten to throw you off, Peggy encourages you to ask, “Do I have control over this?” If not, then release it and focus on what you can control.
